"We came around 11;30ish and it was pretty empty. The co owner was the one cooking and taking orders. We talked with her a bit and she is the one that does it all and the other co owner also goes in when is busy. It is not a big place but it felt welcoming. Now im not a big lobster person but my boyfriend is and he loves lobster. I have to say this was probably the best lobster roll I had on this side of the coast. My boyfriend loved it as well. We will be back and I may have just become a lobster person! Thank you!"
"Don’t Let the Strip Mall Fool You—This is a Lobster Trap You’ll Want to Be Caught In! If you’re driving through a standard-issue strip mall and see The Lobster Cage, your first instinct might be to keep on rolling. From the outside, it doesn’t exactly scream "culinary destination." It screams "I might be here to pick up some dry cleaning or a pack of lightbulbs." Step inside, and the commitment to the "unassuming" aesthetic continues. The decor is, shall we say, minimalist. The seating is sparse, and the vibe is very much focused on the mission at hand rather than fancy upholstery. Oh, and for reasons that are as mysterious as they are delightful, there is an indoor golf simulator right there. Nothing says "fine dining" like the faint *thwack* of a Titleist hitting a screen while you’re debating which crustacean to devour. But then, the food happened. We started with the "Warm Roll." Let’s be clear: this thing was a masterpiece of temperature and texture. The lobster was tender, buttery, and plentiful—no "filler" nonsense here. It’s the kind of sandwich that makes you want to write a thank-you note to the ocean. Next up was the Thai Infused Pasta. Now, I’m usually a purist when it comes to fusion, but this was a revelation. It had that perfect kick of heat balanced with aromatic herbs that somehow played beautifully with the sweetness of the seafood. It was a "one more bite" situation that quickly escalated into a "clear the entire plate" situation. I’ll be honest: I ate too much. I crossed the line from "satisfied" to "I might need to be rolled out of here like a barrel of salt pork." I was so full that I’m fairly certain if I had tried to use that golf simulator, my swing would have been strictly limited to a 5-degree arc. The Verdict: The Lobster Cage is proof that you shouldn't judge a book by its cover, or a restaurant by its lack of tablecloths. If you want a five-star interior, go somewhere else. If you want food so good you’ll ignore the fact that you’re eating in a room with a virtual fairway, this is your spot. Just wear your "forgiving" pants—you’re going to need them."
"Everytime I visit, I make sure to stop in. Always amazing food and friendly service. Had the cold roll, bisque and Thai infused pasta. Can’t wait to come back. Owner is always so sweet and caters to your needs (as if you had any…..) 20/10 eat here"
